Blanche McIntyre is an amazing director and according to The Independent Blanche is also the most promising newcomer. Very lucky to have worked with such a talented woman. It can be very tough sometimes in this industry. Luckily, people like Blanche keep your spirits up!

Be cool or not to be cool
This horrific number of 720+ people who became victims of ignorance of event managers is another proof that it is very important to raise an awareness of health and safety even if it is going to cost you your reputation. I have been recently involved in a few projects where uncool projects managers with absolute lack of common sense were absolutely ignoring safety procedures.
"It is not cool to think that you are a cool production manager when you are a shit manager."

ARE 720+ DEATHS ENOUGH YET?
Fireworks set off indoors have caused five horrific nightclub fires that have killed more than 720 people in the last ten years.
o February 2003. 100 dead at Station nightclub, Rhode Island, USA. Cause - fireworks.
o December 2004. 194 dead at Republica Cromanon nightclub, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Cause - fireworks.
o September 2008. 43 dead at Wuwang nightclub, Shenzhen, China. Cause - fireworks.
o December 2009. 156 dead at Lame Horse nightclub, Pern, Russia. Cause - fireworks.
o January 2013. 233 dead at Kiss nightclub, Santa Maria, Brazil. Cause - fireworks.
So has the nightclub sector, and others putting on events, got the message yet.
